The Two Irenes - NYC, Summer 2011

While the gentry, the bourgeoisie, the landed classes were able to escape to their country estates, the protected chalets or travel abroad to Paris or the Swiss Alps, there were others that had to endure in the inner center of hell, in that urban jungle with its constraining walls of concrete and greed, the destructive forces of Irene; the workers, the poor, the disfranchised, the oppressed were blown away and drowned not by the Irene that protected Sebastian from the Pharisees as they were led by Paul, but by the African Irene searching for vengeance at the lands were her children were being enslaved; never knowing that the masters once more could run away to other protected lands as they left behind the same children Irene wanted to reclaim and save.
