Yes, the living room look could be found in any expensive furniture store show room. The navy blue wall following the gray one, the L shape sofa facing the huge marble table and thin line lights are not that uncommon in the eclectic minimalist mind-set of nowadays.  The two chairs, faux chippendales, executed a jaque mate to the decoration stunt. A decoration that serves to explain the personality behind the edgy reaction to what was a sincere and hardly malicious opinion. It was not expected. After all, a comment on the selfies of the uppity looking guests -younger than the faux chppendales and the host, "as close to a store catalogue ad that a decoration can get", was never bitchy-intended.
