Into which culture must the "assimalatee" assimilate?
Should the "assimilatees" accept the culture that produces and justifies racism, sexism, homophobia, class differences, and persecution of those who question the status quo?
Or can the assimilation process be made into one where all its members participate in redefining what that culture can be about?
Just asking........
It is about time to go back to the byzantines and see how they handled paganism, judaism and Christianity..... or the European colonization of the Americas and find out whatever happenned to Jabibonuco....
