ZEITGEIST NIGHT TXT’D FROM THE VANDERBILT IN SAN JUAN

An evaluation of a well planned night to experience a certain atmosphere, a particular sensibility, an esthetic and time period at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel in San Juan, in its 1919 bar, restored to the original designs and materials, without ever recognizing -no need to- that during its origins, at the time, its models for  “buen vivir” were at war in Europe or housing the ultra rich from its horrors, and Hollywood chose to soften the gray areas in movies that would have never portrayed what the txt’d mssg. sent by the young man who dressed-up for the occasion, to recreate the romantic end of an era in a hotel and its looks, a 1919 zeitgeist, found when he sat at the bar December 2018, “...next to me, Long Island people talking about going to the super bowl a million years ago.  And they are showing each other dog photos”
