LOONIES AND THEIR LUNAS
Someone used the word "loonie" to refer to a poet; not because he was a man who wrote about the moon (loonie is a derivative from luna which means moon in Spanish) but because it was a good way to get the poet out of the way; and by labeling him a "loonie", whatever he was saying or writing was also devalued. Poor moon, the poet's favorite muse was degraded to a mental state; used to silence those who write about her; and for that, the poet has to be, at times, a different (not like the one he was called) kind of "loonie",
