CCNY: Bilingual Education and the Puerto Rican Community: From Anti Colonialism to Acculturation Processes

A historical review of how a teacher education program moved its focus from studying ideas on colonialism and student centered curricula to acculturation processes for migrants and their children; and from dealing with the historical and political situation of colonial education to issues related to dual language programs and multicultural societies; changes that are also reflected in the composition of its faculty and student body.

Que la educación bilingüe no comenzó en Miami, if you know I mean. (To be continued)
