BODEGA OWNERS MARCH AGAINST TRUMPITA

According to WABC news a few thousand bodega owners (yes, in NYC small grocery stores are called bodegas, the Spanish word that Puerto Ricans began to use early in the 20th Century when referring to their grocery stores) were going to close early and protest against Trumpita's policies. Except, that the new majority of these bodega owners are from the Middle East; and in my 'hood, the Moroccans owners of the corner bodega know enough Spanish to say to me: "Mira, ¿cómo estás?". They also know that some of their Puerto Rican clients call their shops: "el jala jala". Small minded and cruel Trumpita would not be able to deal with such complex and mutually supportive cultural transformations. ¡'ndito!
