Did it ever occur to them, the ones who want to go back to those normal days of pastoral dreams, that normality is an abstraction if you are a child who has only eaten a plate of white rice or is beaten continuously by alcoholic parents or you are a man of certain looks or phenotype or one that uses hands dramatically and has a voice that sounds like a humming bird, living on a defensive mode, waiting for the next violent verbal or physical attack or looks like a shadow, using parks, subways, dark alleys as his bedrooms or do you agree with Susy Shock, the transexual Argentinean poet, who wrote, to let normality be someone else: “que otros sean lo normal.”
