LIFE WAS NEVER NORMAL FOR MANY OF US

Did it ever occur to them, the ones who want to go back to those normal days of pastoral dreams, that normality is an abstraction if you are a child who has only eaten a plate of white rice or is beaten continuously by alcoholic parents or you are a man of certain looks or phenotype or one that uses hands dramatically and has a voice that sounds like a humming bird, living on a defensive mode, waiting for the next violent verbal or physical attack or looks like a shadow, using parks, subways, dark alleys as his bedrooms or do you agree with Susy Shock, the transexual Argentinean poet, who wrote, to let normality be someone else: “que otros sean lo normal.”
