ON POWERLESSNESS AND TWO SONS

What can an adult do but recognize that his sense of strength was killed very early in his life, since as a child he was beaten so often that the long term memory is made up of scars. What can a son do if he was kept sleeping with a mother, facing and holding her back, while she held her preferred older son in her arms, until both were around twelve and could not longer maintain their erections down. One, the loved one was never beaten up and photos of his graduations were placed around the house, but grew up to become a very passive older man, a chronic alcoholic, dying at a young age during his brief adult life. The other, the rejected and tortured one became a very angry man, and often, when feeling powerless and ready to collapse chose to look for the denied love or success or to impress or simply allowed himself to cry without shame.
